McCreary, Southern Oregon win title

Douglas High graduate Jaime McCreary and the Southern Oregon volleyball team clinched the top seed in next week's NAIA Region I Tournament by winning the Cascade Conference Tournament championship.

Southern Oregon, ranked No. 20 in the country, beat Albertson College in a five-game thriller on Saturday, winning 30-12, 24-30, 29-31, 30-21, 15-12 to win the title. McCreary, a sophomore setter, had a huge match with 59 assists and 14 digs.

The six-team NAIA sectional will be hosted hosted by Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho Thursday through Saturday.
