Tigersharks earn silver medal

The Carson Tigersharks have been honored as a Silver Medal team for the second straight year by United States Swimming.

After being honored as a Silver Medal team last year, the Tigersharks club received a grant in which it used to begin a scholarship program in conjuction with the Northern Nevada Boys and Girls Club. In the program, youth from the Boys and Girls Club have a chance to participate with the Tigersharks.

The Tigersharks plan to use this year's grant to continue the scholarship program for youth from the Boys and Girls Club.

Criteria for selection of Silver Medal teams includes success of the club's swimmers, which includes swimmers who compete on the national and international level, success of the club's coaches and pareent volunteerism.
