A graveside service with honor guard for William John Derkowitz, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the veterans' section of Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Mr. Derkowitz died Aug. 5, 2003, in Douglas County. He was born Sept. 27, 1926, in Chicago.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Cremation will be at Walton's Funeral Home.
