A service for Emma L. Montevaldo, 89, a Carson City resident for the past 47 years, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Montevaldo died Oct. 27, 2003, in Carson City. She was born April 4, 1914, in Davenport Landing, Calif., to Guisippi and Genesia Porcellana Doglione.
She married Lester E. Montevaldo in Santa Cruz, Calif. He preceded her in death July 8, 1980.
Mrs. Montevaldo attended St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
She loved to travel and enjoyed playing bridge.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Irma Leonardini.
Among her survivors are her children Lester of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Carole Re of Carson City; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Entombment will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice of Carson City. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
