A graveside service for Eva "Marjorie" Armstrong, 84, a Carson City resident since 1988, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Armstrong died Aug. 1, 2006, in Carson City. She was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Chattahoochee, Fla., to William Warren and Beulah Mayo.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Elko.
Mrs. Armstrong worked as a nurse's aide at Ruby Mountain Manor in Elko for the first 12 years of its operation.
She was a Baptist and an avid reader.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wright Armstrong, in 1966; brothers Melburn Mayo during World War II, and Harry Mayo.
Among her survivors are her sons Terry L. Armstrong of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law William and Vicki Armstrong of Orlando, Fla.; daughter Margaret Kerby of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Gerry and Taff Carr of Grandridge, Fla.; sisters Betty Williams of Napa, Calif., Irma McClain of Tyler, Texas, and Emma Clevenger of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brothers Harold Mayo of Orlando and Jack Mayo of Chattahoochee; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
