William Edward Brown

William Edward Brown, 71, a Carson City resident for the past four years, died Aug. 6, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Oakland, Calif., to William E. and Alta Arlene Burnelle Brown.

He attended high school and college.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Sacramento.

Mr. Brown was a high-reach equipment mechanic. His hobbies were computer designing, and flying and building radio-controlled planes.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene D. Locke.

Among his survivors are his daughter, Alta E. Burdett of Dayton, and sister, Edith Vernon of Lockeford, Calif.

At his request, no service will be held.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
