Dayton girls split in tourney

The Dayton High girls basketball team settled for a split in its last two games at the North Valleys Tournament on Saturday.


Dayton defeated Lassen, Calif., 44-39 in overtime and lost to White Pine 55-26. Against Lassen, Amanda Sbragia hit 10-of-14 free throws on her way to scoring 21 points. Also for Dayton, Rebecca Monzello scored 11 points, Melony Cox had seven points and Rebecca Clark added three points.


Against White Pine, Lauren Clark scored seven points, Sbragia had six points, Rebecca Clark had three points and Stephanie Greer, Cox, Maria Weeks and Monzello all added two points.
