Ray Howard Stevens, 65, a former Carson City resident, died Nov. 23, 2004, at his home in Alamogordo, N.M.

He was born June 22, 1939, in Goldthwaite, Texas, to Coley Stevens and Helen Eubanks Jackson.

Mr. Stevens was a welder at Blue Mountain Steel in Mound House.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers R.C. Stevens and Mel Stevens; sister, Thelma; and grandson Steven Hardwick.

Among his survivors are his significant other, Etta Mae Rhodes of Alamogordo; children Doug Stevens, Vivian Hardwick and Cynthia Stevens, all of Fresno, Calif.; son Richard Wilson of Kingman, Ariz.; daughters Peggy Wilson and Linda Collar, both of Alamogordo; brother Truman Stevens of Beaverton, Idaho; grandchildren Leah Stevens, Steven Hardwick, Derik Hardwick, Bethany Wilson, Mandy Collar and Jake Collar; and one great-grandchild.

No service will be held.

Cremation will be at Memorial Gardens of Santa Teresa, N.M.. Burial will be in the Tulare Cemetery in Tulare, Calif.
