Mary Ellen Wiley, 59, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, died Feb. 9, 2004, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 1, 1944, in Grass Valley, Calif., to Herman and Clara Matthews.
She graduated from high school and attended two years of college.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Cleveland, Okla., for many years.
Mrs. Wiley was a certified nursing assistant in many hospitals in Oklahoma. She was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church in Sand Springs and Talihina, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her brother.
Among her survivors are her mother, Clara Morgan; grandmother, Mary Matthews; children Johnny Ray Wiley of Cleveland, Cheryl Lynn Putman of Eufaula, Okla., Kelly Eugene Wiley of Talihina, and Kaysha Ann Turner and Sidney Wayne Wiley, both of Carson City; sister, Cherrie Brooks of Fresno, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be in Oklahoma with burial in the Ramona Cemetery in Ramona, Okla.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
