Dorothy Phyllis Dansie, 89, a Dillon, Mont., resident for the past 25 years, died Feb. 14, 2004, at home. She was born Jan. 25, 1915, in Salt Lake City to Wallace and Phyllis Gray Woolley.

She attended Granite High School and the University of Utah, both in Salt Lake City; and received her master's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.

She married Paul T. Walton in 1939. He died July 27, 1998. She married Major E. Dansie in 1944. He preceded her in death Jan. 18, 1989.

Before moving to Dillon, she lived in Reno for 20 years and Carson City for 10 years.

Mrs. Dansie was an elementary teacher at Bordewich-Bray Elementary School from 1968-78. She was a member of the Carson City archaeology group AmArchs, Ormsby County Teachers Association and various rockhound clubs.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by brother, Robert Woolley in 1980.

Among her survivors are children Holly Walton-Buchanan and husband Kelvin Buchanan of Reno, Bob Dansie of Prescott, Ariz., Amy Dansie of Honey Lake and Bill Dansie and Nevada Dansie of Dillon; grandchildren Angela, Michael and Joanne Dansie of Dillon; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Dansie of Salt Lake City; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

No service will be held.

Cremation will be at Brundage Funeral Home in Dillon.
