The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- A 50-year-old baker from Grants Pass, Ore., was arrested at 4:41 a.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of North Roop Street on suspicion of misdemeanor defrauding an innkeeper, failure to maintain a single lane, drunken driving and no insurance. He was stopped by police after allegedly eating a $14 meal at Denny's and leaving the restaurant without paying his bill. No bail was set after the man allegedly threatened suicide.

- John Hernandez, 21, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of West College Parkway on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property and obtaining money under false pretenses. Bail was set at $30,000.

n Deputies responded to the following calls:

- A juvenile was arrested at 9:31 a.m. Thursday at Carson High School for allegedly being in possession of alcohol.

- A juvenile was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Saliman Road and Seely Loop for suspicion of loitering in public during school hours.

- A convertible top was slashed in the 500 block of West College Parkway on Tuesday.

- A 2-year-old child was in the street at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday at Roop and Lee streets after allegedly getting out of a day-care center without being seen. Child was returned to the center.
