Carson High gradaute Erin Stieber isn't quite done with her two-sport career at Lassen Community College.
Stieber and the Lassen women's basketball team has advanced to the Northern California regional state playoffs. Lassen (17-10) tied with Shasta for second in the Golden Valley Conference at 10-5. But since Lassen beat Shasta two of three times this season, Lassen earned the playoff berth ahead of Shasta. Lassen, the No. 12 seed, will open at No. 5 seed Santa Rosa in the playoffs on Friday.
Stieber, an all-conference selection, has been a two-year starter for Lassen. She also helped lead Lassen to a state runner-up finish this past season in soccer where she was considered one of the state's top defensive players. Stieber is expected to continue her soccer career at a four-year school.
