YERINGTON 64, NORTH TAHOE 46

The Yerington High boys basketball team outscored North Tahoe 18-6 in the third quarter to break the game open. The Lions led 30-25 at halftime and expanded their lead to 48-31 after three quarters. "They're a quality team," said Yerington coach Daron Wildermuth about North Tahoe.

Yerington (8-4, 1-1 in the Northern 3A) opened league with a loss to Northern 3A power Rite of Passage. Dylan Johnson scored 18 points and Derek Lee added 10 points for the Lions.
