Short-handed Carson High boys and girls skiing teams were still almost able to pull out wins against Wooster before just falling short.

With only seven skiers, Carson's girls barely fell to Wooster 84-82. With only five boys, Carson also was edged out by Wooster 80-73. The majority of Carson skiers were unable to compete on Tuesday for various reasons.

Carson's boys and girls did defeat Damonte Ranch. Carson's boys (6-1) won 70-20 while the Senator girls won 90-15.

Against Wooster, Mats Boehnke did win, finishing in 33.1 seconds. Mike Cooke placed third (37.5), Nathaniel Hamer was seventh (43.7), Logan Meriwether was ninth (44.5) and Sebastian Musielax was 12th (47.9). Against Damonte, Boehnke was first, Cooke was second, Hamer was third, Meriwether was fourth and Musielax was fifth.

Against Wooster for the girls, Sydney Parker was fourth (40.7), Krista Wisbar was sixth (41.9), Aysia Roberts was seventh (42.8), Brooke Conway was eighth (43.6), Megan Carter was ninth (45.5), Yvette Hollett was 10th (48.0) and Jessica Goddard was 12th (52.8).

Against Damonte, Parker, Wisbar, Roberts, Conway, Carter and Hollett swept the first six places.

Carson will next ski in a slalom against Manogue and Hug on Friday at Mt. Rose. The girls race will be at noon and the boys race will be at 1 p.m.
