Anna Laura Colley, 90, of Gardnerville died July 26, 2004, in Reno. She was born Dec. 9, 1913, in Knats Creek, Ky., to Alfonzo and Mary Stafford Dale.
She received a high school diploma and trained as a medical secretary.
She married Joe Arthur Colley July 27, 1935, in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He preceded her in death Dec. 9, 1998, in Gardnerville.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
Mrs. Colley was a medical secretary and a homemaker. She was a seamstress and enjoyed making quilts.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Edsil Dale, the Rev. Thomas Dale and Leonard Dale; and sisters Lucille Schlicter and Mabel Harding.
Among her survivors are her son Joe Arthur Colley II of El Cajon, Calif.; daughters DeVona Dale Broersma of Gardnerville and Susan Leota Day of Las Vegas; sisters Francis Davis of Dayton, Ohio, and Gwen Johnson of Lucasville, Ohio; brother Col. Theodore Dale of Jacksonville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At her request, no service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Center in Gardnerville.
