Sheriff's blotter

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Rickey Stone, 52, a transient, was arrested at 10:22 p.m Wednesday in the 1100 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony open and gross lewdness. He allegedly grabbed a child in Mills Park and when her parents intervened, he "retreated several feet away where he stood staring at the child and vigorously rubbing (himself) through his shorts," according to the police report.

• A 37-year-old unemployed transient was arrested at 12:52 p.m. Wednesday at Costco on suspicion of misdemeanor shoplifting and failure to comply. Bail was set at $994.

-- Deputies responded to the following calls:

• A woman reported at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday a man with a knife stole her cell phone in the 1000 block of Woodside Drive.

• A man was threatening a family in the 3400 block of Desatoya Drive on Thursday at 8:12 a.m.

• A flat-bed trailer was stolen from a business in the 2500 block of Curry Street sometime between June 10 and Wednesday.
