The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- A 31-year-old concrete finisher from Carson City was arrested at 8:20 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor second-offense domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,000.
- Gabriela Escobar, 26, of Carson City was arrested at 1:45 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of West College Parkway on suspicion of felony attempt burglary, misdemeanor failure to appear and failure to comply, and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $26,822.
- Thomas Carrisales, 33, a tile setter from Carson City, was arrested at 2:33 p.m. Wednesday at Peters and Adams streets on suspicion of gross misdemeanor unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and a Washoe County warrant for suspicion of escape from house arrest. No bail was set.
n Deputies responded to the following calls:
- Six people were reportedly fighting outside the Smith's Market at 599 William Street at 3:03 p.m. Police made contact and released the juveniles to their parents.
- A gold 1992 Nissan Stanza with chrome hubcaps was stolen from the 1500 block of Walker Drive sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday at 4 p.m.
- A limb from a tree being trimmed reportedly fell on a vehicle in the 200 block of Musser Street and damaged a vehicle Wednesday.
- A 12-year-old girl and her friend were approached by a man at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday at Winnie Lane and Lone Mountain Drive who said the police wanted to talk to them and they should come with him. The girls ran away. The man was described as Hispanic, 5-feet 5-inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds with spiked hair.
