A graveside service for Cynthia Jean "Cindy" Fowler, 41, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Hawthorne Cemetery.

Visitation and viewing will be from 10 a.m.-noon Monday at Gunter's Funeral Home.

Ms. Fowler died March 29, 2004, in Garden Grove, Calif. She was born April 27, 1962, in Bakersfield, Calif.

She attended elementary school in Lone Pine, Calif., and in Gardnerville and graduated from Douglas High School. The following September, she entered Brooks College of Fashion Merchandising in Long Beach, Calif., and graduated in 1983 with a degree in merchandising.

Among her survivors are her parents Edward and Dorothy Fowler of Hawthorne; sisters Catherine McMurphy of Hawthorne and Tamara Alexander of Carson City; brother, Stewart "Rod" Fowler of Hawthorne; aunts Frances Ming of Bishop, Calif., Iva Barbe of Ridgecrest, Calif., Mary Fry and Olga Copley, both of Bakersfield, and Alberta Weeks and Margaret Traynham, both of Texas; uncles Jesse Fowler of Hawthorne and Robert Kennedy of Sandpoint, Idaho; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Schizophrenic Research Department, University of California-Irvine, 7601 Irvine Blvd., Irvine, CA 92618.

Gunter's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
