Murata takes third in Olympic Trials

Minden's Stephanie Murata ended up taking third in the U.S. Olympic Trials in women's wrestling on Saturday in Indianapolis.

Wrestling for Sunkist Kids, Murata lost in the quarterfinals to No. 1 seed Tela O'Donnell 11-0. She came back to beat No. 3 seed Erin Tomeo, who also wrestles for Sunkist Kids, 4-1 in the consolation semifinals. She then beat Marcie Van Dusen, also of the Sunkist Kids whom she beat 3-2 in the first round, 6-2 in the third place match.
