June 5-6 - Historic Nevada ghost towns tour.


Short hikes to explore and discuss the history of these old mining towns and their impact on Nevada.


Camp near Walker Lake on Saturday evening in order to visit as many towns as possible.


Off-road vehicles with two spare tires recommended.


BBQ on Saturday evening.


Dogs on leashes are permitted.

June 6 - Sage Hen Creek flower hike. From where it cross Calif. S.R. 89 downstream to where it flows into Stampede Reservoir.


A 6-7 mile hike with an elevation gain of 600 feet.


This creek drainage is known for its unusually large number of wildflower species.


The meadows above the reservoir often offer good bird watching.


Dogs on leashes are permitted.
