Deputies responded to the following calls:
• A woman called police Wednesday to report her Park Street roommate stole her food stamps. When police arrived they learned the food-stamp recipient had choked the roommate. The caller was arrested.
• A passerby witnessed a man and women fighting at Eighth and Fall streets on Tuesday at 5:16 p.m. One person was arrested.
• When a homeowner arrived home Tuesday at 6:56 p.m. she discovered her garage and bedroom windows open in the 2300 block of Roop Street.
• A man reported Tuesday at 7:19 p.m. his drunken boyfriend had been "verbal to him all day," and locked him out of their motel room.
