Kenneth Hodge Kohler, 76, a Carson City resident for the past 13 years, died Oct. 11, 2004, in Carson City. He was born June 12, 1928, in Tumwater, Wash., to Neil and Bernice Hodge Kohler.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in San Jose, Calif.

Mr. Kohler was a salesman for 30 years in California and Nevada. He was a reservations sales agent for Harveys Casino Lake Tahoe for four years and was a family counselor for Eastside Memorial Park.

He was a member of the Jacks Valley Volunteer Fire Department. At the time of his death, he was an RV park host for the Piñon Plaza Hotel-Casino

He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Post 8583 in Gardnerville. He was a Protestant.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and World War II.

He was preceded in death by his son Paul A.

Among his survivors are his wife of 32 years, Lois; son Morgen C. of California; stepsons Stanley M. Habr, John Habr and Mike L. Habr, all of California and Joe Habr of Carson City; daughters Kathy L. and Judy J.; stepdaughters Mary E. Holt and Sandra L. Schumann of California; brother, William N. of Minnesota; sisters Winifred I. Wallace of California and Neila J. Gottschalk of Minnesota; 22 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
