Harold L. Huckaba, 75, a four-year Carson City resident, died May 19, 2006, at the Veterans Hospital in Reno.

Mr. Huckaba was born July 3, 1930, in Steele, Mo., to Victor W. Huckaba and Mattie Alberta.

Before moving to Carson City he lived in Camarillo, Calif.

He owned a machine shop and he served in the U.S. Army.

He belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a Baptist. He won the 1996 Outstanding Business Application Award.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1963; brother Gene Allen of Whittier, Calif., in 1989; and son-in-law Michael Ferrari in 1998.

Among his survivors are his mother; wife, Cora Jewell, of Carson City; daughters Deborah Snyder of Minden, Marla Jamison of Alta Loma, Calif., Kelley J. Ferrari of Carson City, Lisa McCoy of Carson City and Vicki G. Huckaba of Pahrump; brother Larry Wayne; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held.

Washoe Memorial Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
