Galena sweeps past Reno

The Mailander girls - Julia and Lydia - each had nine kills to help the Galena High volleyball team to an easy sweep of Reno, 25-11, 25-11, 25-14 on Tuesday.

Lydia Mailander also had six digs, two blocks and two aces for Galena (10-0). Kaitlyn Zuppan also had a strong match with four kills and nine blocks. In addition for Galena, Jenny Burroughs had four kills and two aces, Kate Wallace had 14 assists and three aces, Thalia McCann had eight assists, Chelsea Appelbaum had four aces and five digs, Nancy Burroughs had five digs and Kelly Drury added four digs.
