The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 3:07 a.m. Thursday at Park and Peters streets on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery and misdemeanor child endangerment. He allegedly threw a ceramic statue at his wife and instead struck his 9-month-old son in the face. Bail was set at $3,264.


• Cathy Strouse, a transient, was arrested at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of felony providing false identification to avoid prosecution, probation violation and misdemeanor failure to comply.


-- Deputies responded to the following calls:


• The victim of a car theft located his own vehicle Wednesday at a motel in the 2700 block of South Carson Street. A woman was arrested on unrelated charges.


• A woman saw someone stealing her purse from her vehicle Thursday in the 6200 block of Highway 50 East at 1 p.m. She chased the vehicle and the thief threw the purse at her.
