William J. Finnegan, 79, a nine-year resident of Carson City, died Sept. 23, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Bradford, Ill., to Edward and Elizabeth Finnegan.
Mr. Finnegan attended high school, earned an associate's of arts degree and a degree in administration of justice.
He married Ann R. on Nov. 25, 1959, in California.
Before moving to Carson City he lived in Chiloquin, Ore. He is a retired harbormaster and a retired U.S. Navy chief.
Mr. Finnegan was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Community.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; his son, Raymond J., of Carson City; sister, Anna Ruth Zimmerman and three grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
