New business check service, tax center is saved

Business Bank of Nevada (OTCBB:BBNV) launched a new cash management tool to prevent check fraud for business customers who issue a large volume of checks.

Positive Pay allows business customers to provide the bank with a data file listing of all checks they have issued by check number and dollar amount. The system then compares the customer's file data with the check number and amount of checks presented and creates an exception report of duplicated check numbers, amounts and mismatches of this data.

"As we continue to grow and attract larger business clients who issue a large number of checks, we need to provide them with ways to protect themselves against check fraud," said Larry Charlton, executive vice president and chief operations officer of Business Bank. "Check fraud is a growing concern for both banks and their customers, especially businesses that issue a large number of checks. Developing products like Positive Pay can help prevent this type of criminal activity, which can help keep costs down and provide customers with greater peace of mind."

The company announced a 10 percent increase in gold production to 1,250 ounces in July compared to 1,126 ounces in June. Scott Jolcover, the company's general manager at the Plum Mine, said:

"The production increases are in line with our internal projections and represent a 137 percent increase over May's gold production."

These production increases come as the company continues to identify ways to improve operating efficiencies to reduce costs and increase overall production. GoldSpring raised $800,000 from its existing investors in July 2005. This financing provides the capital for the company's takeover of crushing operations.
