A graveside service for Burl Luther Diggs, 84, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at FitzHenry's.
Mr. Diggs died Aug. 25, 2005, in Carson City.
He was born April 3, 1921, in Oklahoma to Lee and Melinda Cantrell Diggs.
He married Pauline Travis on May 7, 1938, in Hugo, Okla.
Before coming to Carson City he lived in Oklahoma.
Mr. Diggs was a truck driver for 22 years for Western Gillette Trucking Co. in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific.
Mr. Diggs was a member of the Airport Church of Christ.
He was an avid rodeo fan.
He was preceded in death by his son Wayne in 1982, five sisters and his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife and son Burl Roy both of Carson City; two sisters, two brothers; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
