Matilda M. Texeira

A funeral for Matilda M. Texeira, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be Monday at Fremont Chapel of the Roses in Fremont, Calif.

Mrs. Texeira died Dec. 15, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Aug. 10, 1920, in Oakland, Calif., to Tony and Emma Macado Silva.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived at South Lake Tahoe for 10 years.

Mrs. Texeira was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Senior Citizens at South Lake Tahoe.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and three sisters.

Among her survivors are her son Gary and daughter Joyce Castelluccio, both of Carson City; sisters Linda Smith of Hayward, Calif., and Ida Amato of San Leandro, Calif.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Holy Scripture Cemetery in Hayward, Calif.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
