Visitation for George Emmett Valladon, 79, a 35-year resident of Carson City will be 9:30-10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Rosary will be said 10 a.m. and funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m.

Mr. Valladon died Aug. 9, 2007, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1928, to George I. and Mary Valladon in Oakland, Calif.

He married JoAnn on July 21, 1950, in San Leandro, Calif. Prior to moving to Carson City he lived in Hayward, Calif.

He graduated from Fremont High School in Oakland. He was an asbestos worker, owner and operator of A-1 Auto Dismantlers and Nevada State Prison warehouseman. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his son Steven, and sister Lucille Valladon.

Among his survivors are his wife of 57 years; son Brad Valladon; daughter Joyce Valladon Sissom; cousin William Valladon all of Carson City; brother-in-law, Richard Fry of Hayward, Calif.; niece, Julie Fry; nephews, Jeffrey and Patrick Fry of Hayward; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 3000 Lompa Lane, Carson City, NV 89706.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
