The following were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court.
• A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for suspicion of second-offense driving under the influence, reckless driving, no proof of insurance, obstructing an officer, violation of bail conditions and driving with a suspended driver's license. During the one-legged-stand field sobriety test, the man reportedly ran off. Deputies tackled and pepper-sprayed him. Bail was set at $7,000.
• Michael Santi, 30, a transient, was arrested about 6:35 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of a grocery store in the 1000 block of North Carson Street on charges of felony failure to appear and a parole violation. A felony warrant had been issued for his arrest on a charge of possessing a credit card without the cardholder's consent.
• Jessica Sand, 18, of Carson City was arrested about 10:35 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of felony intimidating a witness. Her bail was $15,000.
• William Hargrove, a transient, 51, was arrested on suspicion of burglary for allegedly taking a 24-pack of beer and a bottle of tequila from a grocery store in the 500 block of East William Street Tuesday. His bail was set at $25,000. The homeless man said he stole the beer because he was cold and wanted to go to jail, according to the sheriff's report.
