The Carson High wrestling team kept rolling along to stay unbeaten on the season in dual meet action with two wins on Wednesday at home.

Carson beat North Valleys 50-18 and Reno High 68-12. The Senators were able to even though they were still not at full strength with two of the top wrestlers not going on Wednesday: David Cadwallader at 215 pounds and Robbie Bozin at 119.

Cadwallader was out with a dislocated kneecap and Bozin was out with an illness. "Hopefully we'll get him back next week," said Carson co-coach Tim McCarthy about Cadwallader.

Carson also went without a wrester at 130 on Wednesday. Kevin Riggin could eventually end up at 130, although he may also end up at 135. Riggin wrestled at 135 on Wednesday. "We're doing a little bit of juggling in the lineup," McCarthy said.

Against North Valleys, Carson won seven matches by pin: Todd Banko, 103; Brian Halverson, 119; Kyle Banko, 125; Ahron Osheroff, 140; Loren Wooldridge, 152; Jonas Schenzel, 171; and Jason Klug, heavyweight.

Also for Carson, Travis Lamborn won by technical fall at 160, 16-0 and Riggin won 12-6 at 135.

Two of Carson's losses against North Valleys came against two of the Northern 4A's top wrestlers.

The 93-pound Owen Craugh lost at 112. "Owen's got a lot of heart," McCarthy said. Craugh had to wrestle at 112 because he lost a wrestle-off match with Banko at 103. Craugh and Banko will battle for the 103 spot for the rest of the season. At 145, Micah Whitcome lost 3-0 to North Valleys' Mitch Tolley.

Against Reno, Carson lost just one match that was contested and won four by pin: Craugh, 112; Osheroff, 140; Whitcome, 145; Lamborn, 160.

Also for Carson, Wooldridge won 8-0 at 152, Halverson won 3-2 at 119 and Klug won 11-0 at heavyweight. Todd Banko (103), Kyle Banko (125), Riggin (135), Schenzel (171) and Matt Heath (189) all won by forfeit.

"For the most part we came out real aggressive and got a lot of pins," McCarthy said.
