Minden's Stephanie Murata will be making another trip to the World Championships in wrestling to be held in Budapest, Hungary in September.
Murata earned another trip to the World event by earning a place on the United States team in the World Trials held last month in Ames, Iowa. Murata will represent the U.S. in women's freestyle wrestling at 112.25 pounds.
She earned the spot by sweeping a best two-of-three series from Mary Kelly of Mahomet, Ill. In a scoring system in which wrestlers are rewarded for winning a period, Murata won all four periods in the two matches, winning 3-0, 3-1 in the first match and 1-0, 5-2 in the second match.
Murata, an eight-time national champion, will be making her seventh trip to the World Championships where she took second in 2001. She has also won three Pan American Championship titles.
