Visitation for Shirley Darlene Rose, 67, an eight-year resident of Carson City, was May 24, 2005, at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City. The funeral service followed.
Mrs. Rose died May 19, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
She was born Jan. 16, 1938, in Independence, Mo., to Earl Sr. and Dorothy Haggart Wood.
She married Mel Rose March 4, 1955, in Carson City.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Pleasanton, Calif..
She was a high school graduate and a homemaker.
Mrs. Rose was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father Oct. 16, 1969.
Among her survivors are her husband of 50 years of Minden; children Guy Rose of Brentwood, Calif., Richard Rose of Ripon, Calif., and Pennie Wood of Brentwood; mother of Kansas City, Mo.; brother, Earl Wood of Independence; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
