Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday for Donald R. Becker, 39, of Gardnerville at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Becker died June 25, 2005, in an automobile accident on Kingsbury Grade.
He was born Aug. 15, 1965, in Fullerton, Calif., to Tom and Arlene Becker.
Mr. Becker was an adventurer who enjoyed nature and the mountains, trekking up the slopes of the nearest peak, fishing in the local lakes and rivers, or cross-country skiing in the backcountry, all with his spaniel, Dennie. One of his favorite locations was Jobs Peak, where he would sit and overlook his home in the Carson Valley. He was an avid photographer.
Among his survivors are his wife, Darlene; son, Jeffrey; daughter, Nicole; parents Tom and Arlene of Gardnerville; and brothers David of Minden and Douglas and Philip of Southern California.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
