Charles Anthony "Chuck" "Ole Pro" Peters, 83, a Carson City resident for the past 63 years, died Sept. 1, 2005, at Evergreen Center in Carson City after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 16, 1921, in St. Louis, Mo.
He married Beatha Don Grissom on Dec. 16, 1962, in Reno.
Mr. Peters was an entertainer, comedian and an accomplished musician known mostly for playing the accordion. He traveled with some well-known entertainers but was best known in Northern Nevada where he entertained in lounge shows in Reno and Carson City, most notably in the lounge or showroom at the Ormsby Hotel.
He was a regular at the Nugget, Cactus Jack's and the Horseshoe Club.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1999 and a daughter.
Among his survivors are his niece and her husband, Barbara and Dee Meacham of Dayton.
At his request no service will be held.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
