Rich Bachle of Fernley had the first and biggest "Catch of The Day" last Thursday, while fishing at Pyramid Lake. On his first trolling pass, he caught the water ski ladder at the back of the boat!
Dave Beronio sadly found out wild turkeys don't have the huge breasts found on "Butterball" super market turkeys, when he cleaned the one taken by Mike Zuppan on the opening of the turkey season at the Mason Valley Wildlife Area. Beronio thought there was something wrong with that bird.
Gene Phelps of Carson City reported he and his fishing party got skunked, not once by twice, last Thursday at Walker Lake. They fished the north end and the south end of that lake with similar results.
