Carson JV baseball sweeps North Valleys

CARSON JVS SWEEP

Paul Cagle went 5-for-6 with a home run as Carson (12-1) swept a doubleheader against North Valleys, winning the opener 6-4 and the nightcap 12-2 in a game that was called after five innings due to the mercy rule.

Stephen Sawyers was the winning pitcher in the opener allowing one run, striking out seven and walking none over six innings. Kyle Stone had two hits and Cagle had two hits and a double.

David Eller pitched a complete game in the nightcap, allowing two hits and striking out five. Cagle was 3-for-3 with a solo shot, Cody Bone went 2-for-2 with a double and Mason Bondi, Tom Preston, Nate Reno and Tom Purcell all added a hit.
