The University of Nevada baseball team hit rock bottom on Saturday, losing 11-0 at Louisiana Tech.
Nevada (14-16, 4-4 in the Western Athletic Conference) lost its fourth straight after winning nine in a row. Matt Lacy picked up the win for the Bulldogs (20-12, 5-2), striking out nine while allowing four hits over seven innings. Steve Alverson struck out four over the last two innings.
Dayton's Matt Bowman went 1-for-3 for Nevada while Shawn Scobee led the Wolf Pack with two hits.
Louisiana Tech broke the game open by scoring seven runs in the sixth inning to take a 9-0 lead. The Bulldogs scored all seven runs after there were two outs and nobody on.
Adam Cobb hit a two-run home run and Albie Goulder hit a three-run homer during the rally. Brian Rike led the Bulldogs with four hits and three RBI.
