A memorial service for Robert Thomas Serio, 64, a one-year Carson City resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
Mr. Serio died April 15, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 17, 1942, in San Francisco to Samuel and Madeline Serio.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in the Bay area for 63 years.
He was a master union carpenter for 44 years.
He enjoyed golf, pool and Texas Hold 'Em.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Among his survivors are his mother; daughter, Debbie Wood of Bountiful, Utah; sons Dan Serio of South San Francisco and Shawn Serio of San Bruno, Calif.; brother, Rich Serio of Carson City; and six grandchildren.
Cremation took place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
