Want to play for the 2007 Western Nevada Community College baseball team? The Wildcats are hosting a team tryout at John L. Harvey Field, 2201 West College Parkway, on Monday, May 22 at 3:30 p.m. The tryout will run two to four hours and all graduating high school seniors are invited to attend.
"We are looking for four to ten players to walk on the team," Coach D.J. Whittemore said. "We will give special attention to players who have received all-region and all-conference honors."
The Wildcats are in the midst of their first season and currently sit in third place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference with a 25-15 overall record and a 19-9 conference record.
