Robert J. Brown, 79, a 20-year Carson City resident, died April 19, 2006.
Mr. Brown was born June 15, 1926, in Beaverton, Mich., to Robert M. and Isabel Mercer Brown.
He retired from 3M Co. after 32 years.
He served in the U.S. military during World War II and Korea.
He was preceded in death by grandson Lt. Shaun Brown in 2004.
Among his survivors are his wife of 44 years, Martha E. Brown, of Carson City; son Don Brown of Mora, Minn.; daughter Terry Sparks of Greenville, Mich.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
At his request, no services will be held.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
