A viewing for June Mulvihill Rigsby, 58, a Carson City resident, will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City, with a private burial Wednesday.

Mrs. Rigsby died April 28, 2006, at her home after a long illness. She was born Dec. 25, 1947, in Hackettstown, N.J., to Paul and Anne Mulvihill.

She moved to Nevada in 1966. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in zoology, and earned a master's in counseling from UNR in 1998. She was a microbiologist for the state of Nevada for 11 years, a research analyst and strategic planner for Sierra Pacific Power Co. for eight years, and an attaché and the director of administrative services for the Nevada Assembly.

She enjoyed traveling to her cottage in Roscommon, Ireland.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruthanne Mulvihill.

Among her survivors are her parents; her husband of 37 years, Robert Rigsby; and son, Thomas Rigsby, all of Carson City; sister Margo Mulvihill of Reno; sisters and brothers-in-law Terry and John Rucker of Reno, and Virginia and David Thompson of Alameda, Calif.; brother Paul Mulvihill of Amarillo, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
