Galen Kent Shorey, 65, a 26-year Hawthorne resident, died April 28, 2006, in Stagecoach.
Mr. Shorey was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Lincoln, Maine, to Eugene Shorey and Irene Champeon.
Before moving to Hawthorne, he lived in Dexter, Maine.
He was a high school graduate and was a master electrician.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Galen Kent Shorey II; and grandson Alexander Rolan Shorey.
Among his survivors are his children, Bonnie Liddicoat of Reno, Eric Shorey of Stagecoach, Rose Marie Sherrill of Hawthorne, Daniel and Brad Shorey of Billings, Mont., and Matthew Shorey of Atlanta; sisters Jeanette Bradbury, Lorriane Curtis and Lois Norris; brother Vinal Eugene Shorey; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous extended-family members.
Cremation took place at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
