A funeral for Alex Juback Sr., 46, a lifelong Nevada resident, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Burial will follow at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Mr. Juback died Aug. 4, 2006, at Washoe Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 2, 1960, in Austin, Texas to Martin and Sophie Juback.
He graduated from Carson High School in 1978.
He was a heavy-equipment operator for many local construction companies.
He enjoyed all sports and excelled at baseball. He also enjoyed working on engines for custom cars and boats.
Mr. Juback was preceded in death by his father of Reno and sister Nancy Cere of New Jersey.
Among his survivors are his mother and his son Alex Jr., both of Carson City; sister Mia Mansfield of Reno; and several nieces and nephews.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
