Carson Sertoma Club is selling its football books for this upcoming NFL season. The book gets the recipients 16 squares for the Monday night games and a chance to win $50 weekly. Doesn't sound hard and it will keep you interested on the boring Monday night games like Raiders vs. 49ers. Ha! So come help Carson Sertoma support Carson children with hearing and speech difficulties, cancer, or diabetes. This year is a fresh start for Carson Sertoma they will be accepting women as members and are inviting all women interested to join them at Q's Restaurant each Wednesday at noon. I'd love to hang with Frank Taylor myself but I'm VP for Soroptimist International and they wouldn't understand.

Speaking of Soroptimist International the Stroke to Help Golf tournament is coming up. This all-women's group with its huge hearts is once again looking for some golfers. Come join the ladies and make this event an annual date to help women. All of us have been touched one way or another by cancer with friends and family and we know how devastating it can be. When you don't have enough money for a mammogram this is where this tournament saves lives. It's not just talk. Dixie Busch makes it happen. Support women in our community get the right treatment. So get out the clubs, come see me at the golf course and have a day of golf, food and fun. A big thank you to the continued supporters of the event each year Great Basin Imaging and Eagle Valley Golf Course.
