A celebration of life for Mary Susan Johnson, 86, a 40-year Oakhurst, Calif., resident, will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home. Burial will take place at the Oakhill Cemetery in Oakhurst at 11 a.m. Friday.
Mrs. Johnson died Aug. 2, 2006 at Merrill Gardens in Gardnerville. She was born Sept. 13, 1919 in Murfressboro, Tenn., to Richard and Viola Reeves.
She married Odin Sigmund Johnson Jan. 1, 1942.
Before moving to Oakhurst, Mrs. Johnson lived at Yosemite National Park for 22 years with her husband, who was a park ranger, and their family.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters; son, Eric Sigmund Johnson and husband in July 1967.
Among her survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law Ingrid and George Rooker and Julia Johnson and Chris Crawley; daughter-in-law Rabecca Rich Johnson; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
