Kenneth A. Peterson, 77, a 36-year Carson City resident, died Aug. 14, 2006, at his home.
Mr. Peterson was born June 16, 1929, in Pas, Manitoba, Canada, to Joseph Otto Peterson and Nora Mae Nixon.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Peterson lived in San Jose, Calif.
He had worked in the mineral exploration businesses most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys in 2000; brother Leonard and sister Helen.
Among his survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law Joseph and Susan Peterson of Dayton and Allan and Jana Peterson of Bothel, Wash.; sisters Stella of Delta, British Columbia, and Luella of Nova Scotia; brother Gordon Peterson of Revelstoke, British Columbia; and six grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory. At Mr. Peterson's request no services will be held.
A private scattering of the ashes will take place.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
