A Carson City woman and a Reno man received minor injuries in a crash on Highway 395 at Nye Lane.
According to Trooper Larry Barnes, Mary Dillahunty, 57, was attempting to cross North Carson Street at 9 p.m. Tuesday when she drove into the path of a 2006 Jeep Wrangler driven by John Brown, 65.
Dillahunty's 2006 Honda Civic was struck in the right front by the left front of Brown's northbound vehicle.
Barnes said Dillahunty was unresponsive when paramedics arrived, but she recovered en route to Washoe Medical Center by helicopter.
Brown was taken by ambulance to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Dillahunty's passengers, a chow and a chocolate Labrador, were uninjured in the wreck. According to Carson City Animal Services, the chow ran home and the Labrador spent the night at the shelter, and was picked up Wednesday morning by Dillahunty's family.
The accident blocked the northbound slow lane for two-and-a-half hours while troopers investigated the accident.
Dillahunty will likely be cited for failure to yield right of way, Barnes said.
