A memorial service for Vivian Veria Mosher, 88, a nine-year Dayton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton.

Mrs. Mosher died Aug. 12, 2006, in Carson City. She was born Feb. 20, 1918, in Pawnee City, Neb., to Guy D. Strong and Lenora Rae Stone-Strong.

She married Robert F. Mosher on May 21, 1942, in Ft. Collins, Colo.

Before moving to Dayton, Mrs. Mosher lived in Hayward, Calif., for 41 years.

She graduated from high school in Ft. Collins and had attended high school in Arnold, Neb.

She taught piano lessons for more than 20 years.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton and a member of the Music Teachers Association of Alameda, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997, and by daughter Judith Ann Mosher in 1945.

Among her survivors are daughters Catherine Melendres of Carson City, Cynthia Herb of Royce City, Texas, and Connie Davis of Dayton; sister Edith Pinkston of Grand Island, Neb.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members.

Burial will take place in Truckee.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
